Study and working visits for the year 2014

Based on the bilateral memorandum of understanding between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey, from 2 to 6 November 2014, a delegation of the Constitutional Court, composed of Ms. Elsa Toska - Adviser of the President, Ms. Valbona Bala - Advisor of judges, Ms. Fiona Papajorgji - judges and Ms. Jonida Kondili - Assistant of the President, participated in a study program at the Constitutional Court of Turkey.

At the invitation of the Council of Europe, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania composed of Ms. Vitore Tusha, Ms. Altina Xhoxhaj, Judges and Ms. Elsa Toska, Ms. Arta Llazari, legal advisers, paid a study visit to the Council of Europe and the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg from 7 to 9 July 2014.

More than 3000 participants from 79 countries attended the IV St. Petersburg International Legal Forum which was held on 18-21 June 2014.

On 21-23 May 2014, was held in Valetta, Malta, the 17th International Judicial Conference, organized by Furth Family Foundation, the University of Michigan Law School and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

XVI Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria, took place in Vienna, during 12 to 14 May 2014. At this event, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania was represented by Mr. Bashkim Dedja, President of the Court, and Mr. Sokol Berberi, Judge.

At the invitation of the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Sebastian Nerad, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania, headed by the Secretary General, Mr. Kujtim Osmani, held a two-day study visit to the Constitutional Court of Slovenia, during 17 to 19 April 2014.

From 28 to 29 March 2014 in Budva, Montenegro, was held the First Regional Forum on the Rule of Law for Southeast Europe.

At the invitation of Prof. Dr. Ernest Petrič, member of the Constitutional Court of Slovenia, and Mr. Garis Laiser, President of the Slovenian Paneuropean Movement, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, attended the International Paneuropean Conference on: "Multidimensionality of European Foreign Policy," which was held in Ljubljana from 21-23 February 2014.

The President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, took part in the opening ceremony of the new judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights, on January 31, 2014.
